My Daily Essentials for a Grounded, Mindful Life

Free rituals and wellness tools that support me from the inside out

Wellness isn’t about doing everything right.
It’s about finding what brings you back to yourself.

After decades of personal healing—and supporting others in theirs—I’ve learned that it’s the small things, practiced consistently, that make the biggest difference.

These are my daily go-tos: free rituals and favorite tools that support my body, nervous system, and soul.

Some of them include affiliate links, which means I may receive a small commission if you purchase through them—at no extra cost to you. I only ever share what I genuinely use and love.

1. Morning Collagen, Matcha & Mantras

Since turning 40, collagen has become a non-negotiable in my routine—for my skin, joints, and hitting my morning protein goal. It’s also a key component of fascia, which is deeply connected to the nervous system.

I stir collagen into my morning matcha and stir in a simple mantra like:

  • “I appreciate everything in my field, seen and unseen.”

  • “I attract incredible opportunities.”

  • “I am grounded, grateful, and guided.”

It’s more than a supplement—it’s a ritual. And I can feel the difference in my body and spirit.

2. Putting My Phone to Bed

Every evening, my phone goes to sleep around 9 p.m. in its charging spot—out of the bedroom.

In the morning, I don’t check it until I’ve…
☀️ Looked at the sky
🌬 Taken a conscious breath
🏔 Watched the sun rise over the mountain near my home

It’s simple. It’s free. And it changes everything.

3. Daily Practice with Open

I do believe that tech, when used intentionally, can be medicine. Open is my favorite mindfulness app—and I’ve tried many. I’ve been a devoted student for over 5 years.

It blends meditation, breathwork, yoga, and strength training with incredible teachers into one beautifully produced space. I use it when I need support, structure, or just want to receive instead of lead.

Some of my favourites include:

  • The Power Series for strength and flow

  • Grief meditations when I feel tender

  • Nervous system reset sessions when I feel untethered

Whether I have 5 or 45 minutes, Open meets me where I am.

4. Grounding Gear I Love: B Yoga + Halfmoon

I’ve practiced yoga for over 20 years, and for more than a decade I’ve trusted B Yoga and Halfmoon for the tools that support my daily practice.

Their yoga mats, props, and meditation cushions have been with me through countless seasons of movement, stillness, and breathwork. My go-tos are the Everyday BMAT for home practice, the Travel Mat for retreats and trips (folds like a towel to save space), and the Halfmoon meditation cushion for creating sacred space.

It’s not just gear. It’s grounding.

6. Touching Nature Every Day

I get outside every day—even if it’s just watering the plants in the backyard, taking a breath of fresh air on the porch, or watching the sky shift throughout the day.

It’s how I recalibrate and remember what matters.

7. A Morning Check-In

Saying “Good morning, I love you” in the mirror. Is my favourite way to greet myself in the morning.
Then I ask myself, What would support me today?

The answer changes. But the ritual remains.

Final Thoughts

None of these practices are about being perfect.
They’re about feeling connected, supported, and clear.

If you’re building your own rhythm of wellness and presence, I hope something here finds its way into your hands—and into your days.

With love,
Rachelle
