My Daily Essentials for a Grounded, Mindful Life

Free rituals and wellness tools that support me from the inside out

Wellness isn’t about doing everything right.
It’s about finding what brings you back to yourself.

After years of personal healing—and supporting others in theirs—I’ve learned that it’s the small things, practiced consistently, that make the biggest difference.

These are my daily go-tos: free rituals and favorite tools that support my body, nervous system, and soul. Some of them include affiliate links, which means I may receive a small commission if you purchase through them—at no extra cost to you. I only ever share what I genuinely use and love.

1. My Morning Collagen, Matcha & Mantas

Since turning 40, collagen has become a non-negotiable in my daily routine—for my skin, joints, and helping me hit my morning protein goal. I mix this collagen into my morning matcha and stir in a simple mantra like:

“Today is a beautiful day.”
“I attract incredible opportunities.”
“I am grounded, grateful, and guided.”

For me it feels like more than a supplement—but part of my sacred ritual.

2. Putting My Phone to Bed

Every evening, my phone goes to sleep around 9 p.m. in it’s designated charging spot—in another room.

In the morning, I don’t check it until I’ve…

☀️ Seen the sunrise
🌬 Taken a conscious breath
🏔 Watched the sun rise over the mountain near my home

It’s simple. It’s free. It changes everything.

3. Daily Practice with Open

Open is my favorite mindfulness app—and I’ve tried many.
It blends meditation, breathwork, yoga, and strength training into one beautifully produced space. I use it when I need support, structure, or just want to receive instead of lead.

Favorites include:

  • The Power Series for strength and flow

  • Grief meditations when I feel tender

  • Nervous system reset sessions when I feel untethered

Whether I have 5 or 45 minutes, Open meets me where I am. Click here to try it free for 30 days.

4. My BMAT + Travel Mat

I’ve practiced yoga for over 20 years, and I’ve used BMAT exclusively for more than a decade. It’s the only mat I trust for daily movement, rest, and breathwork.

I use the Everyday Mat at home and pack the Travel Mat for retreats or trips—folded like a towel to save space.

It’s not just gear. It’s grounding.

5. Creating Sacred Space with My Halfmoon Cushion

This meditation cushion supports my practice by inviting a gentle elevation to the hips, it’s cozy and portable.

6. Touching Nature Every Day

I get outside every day—even if it’s just watering the plants in the backyard, taking a breath of fresh air on the porch, or watching the sky shift throughout the day.

It’s how I recalibrate and remember what matters.

7. A Morning Check-In

Saying “Good morning, I love you” in the mirror. Is my favourite way to greet myself in the morning.
Then I ask myself, What would support me today?

The answer changes. But the ritual remains.

Final Thoughts

None of these practices are about being perfect.
They’re about feeling connected, supported, and clear.

If you’re building your own rhythm of wellness and presence, I hope something here finds its way into your hands—and into your days.

With love,
Rachelle
